Porsche 997.2 GT3 RS

The 997.2 GT3 RS in 2010 was the latest iteration of the ultimate track version of the 911 which can trace its roots back to the original 1973 911 Carrera RS. More focused than the standard 997.2 GT3, the car featured a wider front and rear track, more power from the 3.8 litre flat six Mezger engine (bored out from the 3.6 litre engine found in the 997.1 GT3), more aggressive aerodynamics and further weight saving. With the exception of the extremely rare 997.2 GT3 RS 4.0 which followed it, this GT3 RS is deemed to be the last of the true motorsport GT3s as it was the final model to use the Mezger engine and the last to have hydraulic power steering before the shift to electronic power steering found in the next generation 991 GT3.
