At the end of 2011, a special and somewhat unexpected release came out of the skunkworks in Ingolstadt…..the Audi A1 Quattro. Harking back to the iconic Quattro A1 and A2 rally cars of the 1980s, the A1 Quattro was a modern day homage by the folks at Audi Sport to their legendary cars that revolutionised rallying some 4 decades prior.
Taking the standard A1, Audi completely redesigned the floorplan of the car to accommodate the Quattro 4WD system and accompanying rear differential. Not only did they manage to achieve that, they also shoehorned the extremely capable 2 Litre TFSI power unit out of the previous generation S3 into the car.
The end result was something rather unique. A 250bhp, 4wd, manual hot hatch with over 600 component changes to the car they started with. Along with the comprehensive mechanical overhaul, substantial aesthetic modifications were also made including chunky rear spoiler and tail pipes, mesmerising 18 inch rally inspired turbine wheels and a host of other bespoke cosmetic alterations.
In the end, 333 units were produced (all LHD) with just 19 destined for the UK creating a truly iconic hot hatch.

INVESTMENT THESIS
First registered in November 2012, this iconic hot hatch has covered a mere 10,200 miles from new and comes with full Audi service history. A major service including cambelt, water pump, brake fluid, spark plugs and Haldex oil change was carried out by Audi Reading in April 2021 at 10,000 miles.
