Aston Martin DB9 Sports Pack (2009/09)
SOLD
In December 2003, The Aston Martin DB9 was released at the Frankfurt Auto Show. Not only was it the first model to roll out of Aston’s new purpose built facility in Gaydon but it also benefitted from an all-Aluminium construction designed by Ian Callum and Henrik Fisher. As the natural successor to the DB7 it definitely had big boots to fill but the modern styling and performance made it an instant hit and the perfect British GT car.
In July 2008, the DB9 received a minor facelift. Of particular note was the increase in engine power and torque up to 470bhp and 600Nm respectively along with a redesigned centre console.

INVESTMENT THESIS
We are pleased to offer for sale this spectacular and rare manual Aston Martin DB9 Sports Pack. First registered in June 2009, this lovely example has covered 16,000 miles from new with full AM main service history. Finished in Storm Black over Chancellor Red and Obsidian Black leather with Piano Black facia which perfectly contrasts, this DB9 also benefits from the optional Sports Pack which aimed to sharpen the driving experience over the standard DB9. The factory fitted option from new includes lightweight wheels, stiffer springs, thicker front anti-roll bar and an alloy panel bolted underneath the sub frame. Additional options for the car include red brake callipers, front stone guards and personalised sill plaques on top of the comprehensive list of options fitted as standard to the car.
The beauty of this car is its ability to combine the incredible GT driving experience of the DB9 with the sharper handling characteristics of the DBS. The manual gearbox also adding to the gloriously analogue involvement. The 5.9L naturally aspirated V12 is a joy to use with bountiful torque and predictably linear power delivery.
Finding a low mileage, Sports Pack optioned, manual DB9 in a condition as good as this car is a big challenge indeed. What’s more, given the rally we have seen in V12 Vantage prices recently, manual DB9’s are likely to start following suit very soon. This therefore offers the perfect opportunity to purchase a very rare piece of Aston Martin automotive history before prices skyrocket.
